'Ah, so - Japan' - or should it be 'Arse-hole England'!

I'm a musician and writer, so obviously don't know as much about football as Signor Capello - although it was interesting to see him temporarily 'lose it' with the Japanese coach at the last England warm-up game in Graz, Austria - he's really no different from any of the others in this respect!

Now if it was me, I would have liked to try out my 'final' team, not keep experimenting with formations almost up to the opening World Cup game in South Africa. If he doesn't know by now, he never will!

And what a joke it was - had it not been for the generosity of a couple of Japanese own goals, England would have lost, which morally they did - even Lampard screwed up his penalty.

Clearly, on this showing, England's stay in South Africa will be short lived as, once they come up against a real team, their frailties will be obvious!

On one count I sympathise with Capello. Because most of our English club teams at the highest level are full of foreign players, we've very few English players who can cut it. If we rely on the likes of Gerrard and Rooney now, we've had it! Gerrard will probably drop out through injury, and every foreign player will know that Rooney is currently frustrated by his poor form, as will be a time-bomb waiting to go off - and off the field he'll surely go, as they're all dab hands at getting him a red card!

It's interesting to note that, just before the start of the World Cup, Capello is in negotiations with the FA about continuing in the job after the finals. Capello and the FA obviously know something that we don't - or do, if we were ever honest about the dearth of real 'Messi-like' quality in the English team!

Let's hope it won't end up with everyone labelling Fabio 'C(r)apello'!
